About this course

Our nationally recognised CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health will build your skills and knowledge to provide vital community services for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This course will also prepare you for a role in delivering self-directed, recovery-oriented support, empowering those affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability. You’ll learn to implement community-based programs and activities focused on mental health and wellness, making a meaningful difference in the lives of participants and their families.

Self-Paced Online Learning (Part-time)
10 hours per week for 104 weeks = 1040 hours

Self-Paced Online Learning (Full-time)
20 hours per week for 52 weeks = 1040 hours

Work Placement
It is the student’s responsibility to source and secure work placement to fulfil the placement requirement of this course (120 hours).

Administration fee
A non-refundable Administration Fee is $150 is to be paid with the deposit, this is included in the full deposit and is not additional to the payment plan above.

Online assessment
You’ll complete short answer questions, long answer questions, scenario-based questions, and multiple-choice questions to show what you know in different ways.

Case studies
You’ll complete case study questions that let you apply your knowledge to real-life examples. This gives you a chance to use your skills in a practical context.

Portfolio of evidence
During work placement, you’ll collect a portfolio of evidence to show your skills and knowledge. This portfolio will be made up of workplace documents, work samples, notes and meeting minutes.

Work placement assessment
During work placement, you’ll be observed and assessed in a real-time working environment or in a simulated environment that reflects workplace conditions.

If you have studied previously, or have relevant life or work experience relating to your course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Students will need to meet the Selection Criteria requirements to be eligible to enter into this course. Evidence of the student meeting the Selection Criteria will be collected as part of the Enrolment process.

  • Willingness to complete a Police Check Record
  • Successful completion of an LLND test
  • Willingness to complete a Working with Children’s Check
  • Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Must have computer with internet access
  • Must have a camera, microphone and capacity to upload simulations (evidence)
